Planning to catch a Seattle Mariners game at T-Mobile Park?
This complete guide covers entrance locations, gate opening times, entry policies, maps, and tips for smooth ballpark access. Whether you're wondering when gates open, where to enter, or what you can bring inside, we've got you covered with everything you need to know before heading to the stadium.
Getting to T-Mobile Park
First order of business: getting tickets! If you're not trying to spend a fortune, it's a great idea to check out the Value Game schedule, where seats are just $10 for Bleacher & View Level, $20 for Main Level or $30 for Terrace Club.
Parking can also be astronomically expensive around the park, so we recommend several more commuter friendly options:
- Walk!
- Take public transit. Buses are available, and catching the Link light rail will drop you off a short walk away at the "Stadium" station.
- Grab one of those scooters (just don't leave it in the way of folks on the sidewalk).
- If you're coming from the west side, take a ferry! It's not too bad of a walk (or scooter ride) from the terminal to the stadium. Plus, the views are great and you're guaranteed to have other fans on your boat.
- Even though traffic can be quite congested, calling a rideshare is also an option.
What to Bring to T-Mobile Park
T-Mobile Park has some pretty specific rules about what you can and can't bring in. First up, the bag policy! Bags that are allowed:
- Small clutch bags of any fabric that are smaller than 4.5" x 6.5" are permitted.
- Larger bags are permitted, but only if they are made of clear plastic or vinyl. They also must be no larger than 12" x 6" x 12". For example, something like this.
- If you just need to grab something to carry things in, you can bring a gallon-size clear zip-top bag.
Next up: water! This can be very important, especially on game days where you'll be sitting in the sun. The only way you can actually bring in water is if it's in a
factory-sealed bottle no bigger than 32 ounces. This means it has to be brand new and unopened. Lucky for us, several vendors outside the gates sell these for $1 each.
Otherwise, you
can bring in a
reusable water bottle, but it must be empty, made of transparent plastic, and less than 32 ounces. There are plenty of water fountains around the park to fill (and refill) your bottle, and you can get ice from the soda fountains.
Anything outside of these requirements they will make you get rid of. So don't bring that giant plastic jug or expensive insulated metal bottle!
And finally, food! According to the website, "
Outside food is permitted in single-serving sizes." This is actually great! Basically it means you can bring in any food that's like, a single-serve tupperware size, or personal chip bag and not giant family-size chip bag, if that makes sense. This includes food from nearby restaurants!
Here are a few of our favorite local restaurants to stop at on the way in to grab easily-portable food to bring into the game:
- Rojo's Mexican Food. These folks just opened up their first brick-and-mortar near Smith Tower, right next to the Pioneer Square light rail stop and a short walk to the stadium!
- ChuMinh Tofu. Their bánh mì is cheap, portable, huge, and delicious!
- Evergreens. Stadium food is often not the healthiest, and it's totally allowed for you to bring in your own personal salad, whether you grab it from a nearby shop or make it at home!
- Your own snacks in tupperware and reusable bags! We once saw a family with different bags full of popcorn, carrots, and more.
Bonus! All of the above food stops have ample
vegetarian and vegan options, which are often lacking inside the ballpark.
Other important things that you are allowed to bring:
- Blankets
- Umbrellas
- Strollers
- Wheelchairs
You are NOT allowed to bring in the following:
- Coolers
- Balloons / beach balls
- Skateboards or roller skates
- Laser pointers
- Drones
- Noisemakers
- Selfie sticks
- Weapons of any kind

official Mariners site here.
When to Get to T-Mobile Park
Typically, the gates open 90 minutes before the first pitch. However, if you're aiming to get in earlier (for example, to snag one of the promotional giveaway items), you have a couple of options:
- Center Field. This gate opens two hours before the game start time, though folks are kept in the The Pen' area and can't go to their seats until 90 minutes before.
- The T-Mobile Customer Entrance. This is located near the Left Field Gate and open for any T-Mobile customers to use. It also opens two hours before the first pitch. You may be asked to show on your phone that you use T-Mobile.
Please note, gate times may vary for special events such as Opening Day, special promotions and the Postseason.
Make sure to check the schedule to see if there's a promotion happening! Often giveaways are limited to the first 10,000 or so fans, so you might want to plan accordingly to get there early if you want to score some awesome Mariners swag.
Once You're Inside T-Mobile Park
It's always fun to get there early and watch batting practice, see players warm up, and maybe even wait next to the field to catch a ball or snag your favorite player's signature.
The rules were updated for the 2023 season to speed up games, so we recommend getting your food and drink before the first pitch if you don't want to miss any of the action! You can find the Top Eats Guide from T-Mobile Park here. Our favorite places to grab food are:
- Ivar's
- Tamari Bar
- Holy Smoke BBQ
- Ballard Pizza
- Chick Chick Boom
- Hempler's Sausage
- Marination
- Lil Woody's
- Edgar's Cantina
- Don't forget garlic fries! We personally love the ones from Grounders at Kidd Valley near Section 149.
More importantly, don't forget about the
Value Menu, which offers some food and drink staples for
under $5. For a sports stadium, that's a real steal.
If you're looking to get a buzz on, there's plenty of local & craft alcohol around the stadium, and there's even some
Value Beers for just $5 or $6. Check out the
beer finder here!
Concerts & Events at T-mobile Park
T-Mobile Park isn't just home base for the Mariners! Massive arena shows tend to happen and we have to admit that they are some of the most insane concert experiences you will ever have! Some shows to look out for would be Post Malone and My Chemical Romance. You can find all upcoming events at T-Mobile Park here.
We hope you have an absolute blast! Go Mariners!
