We do tons of giveaways here at Do206 and want to be as transparent as possible on how that system works so we've pulled together some basic rules and FAQ's about our process and why we do it this way. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to us at [email protected]
- We keep contests open after that in case the original winner does not claim their tickets or give them back. We want to make sure everyone has a fair chance to win.
- We will contact winners via email. This means you should enter with an email address you check regularly, or at least within a few days of the event. Sometimes tickets are in high demand and we'll apply a deadline to claim your tickets that will be clearly stated in the notification email. You'll have a window to respond, once that window has passed we will reach out to a new winner.
- Make sure your name is proper on your account. Please use your real name (aka whatever you called on your official ID) on all contests as sometimes we'll have to send your name to the venue on short notice and are usually unable to change the name on the list once it has been sent. Looking at you Winny McWinnerson.
- Prizes are non-transferable. Yup, that means that you can't win tickets and then send us your friend's name. It's just not fair to the other fans that are hoping to win. Most times winning "tickets' actually means your name will be on a list and you'll get a handstamp instead of getting a physical pair of tickets. Please be respectful of the venues and don't try to do any swaps at the door - it just looks like you're trying to sell your free prize.
- Winners are chosen at random using random.org. It's pretty simple. If there are 250 contest entrants we'll select a random number between 1-250. There is nothing else to it.
