Tacos Chukis

Tacos Chukis has multiple locations in Seattle and offers SOME OF THE BEST TACOS AROUND (yes these tacos are so good we are yelling about it). Taco Chukis also has an amazing backstory: A broke student who had recently graduated from UW, and who had no prospects for a job to speak of, decided to invest in a bicycle and ride it 1,700 miles down the coast to visit his hometown of Tijuana. Upon arriving, he was greeted by family and was quickly taken to eat tacos, tacos which he had so dearly missed and could not find back home in Seattle, delicious tacos which he craved during his entire trip. Once he returned to Seattle he met a friend who, upon being told of his quest for tacos, told him that he used to be a taquero (a taco artisan, if you will) in Mexico City. Tacos Chukis was born and that broke student now has a job.

Los Agaves

The al pastor street taco is one of our favorite tacos in the city, but don’t sleep on their carne asada taco and the lengua (beef tongue) if you re feel adventurous. After you enjoy some tacos take a stroll through Pike Place Market to walk off everything you just consumed or walk over to another spot in Pike Place for even more photos (see the next spot below).

Mariscos Mexico

Hello mahi fish tacos from Mariscos Mexico in Pike Place Market we love you. We also love the Acapulco shrimp tacos and mango-jalepno salsa. Every time we go to the market and this spot is open we stop by for a taco. The menu is seasonal as well, so you never know what might be an option.

El Camion Adentro

The main El Camion Adentro restaurant is in Ballard with some of the most authentic tacos in the city. Not only are they known for their tacos, but their tortas are ridiculously delicious as well. Not wanting to have a sit-down meal? Visit some of their food trucks located in North Seattle (next door to Bitter Lake Home Depot), Ballard (next to Safeway), and Sodo (between Century Link and Safeco fields).
